As the world’s largest clean energy, how to use electricity efficient and reasonable management to become the world’s electric power industry common development goals. As the change the new tendency of power system development in the future, the smart grid is the focus and actively promote by energy sector.Smart meter is one of the most basic data collection equipment in the smart grid, its development has also been unprecedented attention.The traditional management mode of electricity power consumption residents by property management department or meter reading personnel to take the copy, such not only increase the management personnel’s workload, but also to people’s normal life to bring a lot of inconvenience.Therefore aiming at the disadvantages of low accuracy, big consumption and unstable of traditional mechanical and electronic energy meter, the high-accuracy smart meter system based on ARM9is designed. The proposed design method utilize the ARM9development board system based on S3C2440A microprocessor and electric energy meter chip of ADE7755to calculate, monitor, storage, process and communicate in network for electric energy signal. Using embedded graphics interface Qt4programming software to touch the graphical interface design, the staff by the upper application for users power-expenditure information query and control, and the optional setting corresponds to the user’s pricing mode such as ladder electricity pricing and time-of-use power pricing, etc. The theoretical analysis and the results indicate that the system accord with the design requirement and has a good application prospect.Before the end of this article on the research work is summarized, and pointed out the deficiencies and improvement method in this subject, indicated directions for follow-up to continue research and development.
