Curerntly, almost al] of relay protection setting calculation sotfware are widely designedfor transmission network of power enterpirses. However, due to the special structure andoperation characteirstics of enterpirse distirbution network, the protection setting way ofenterpirse distirbution network has its particularity. Therefore in order to reduce thecomplexity of protection setting calculation and improve the protection setting accuracy, theprotection setting workers are in urgent need of special protection setting sotfware to completethe protection setting work for the enterpirse distirbution network. But such sotfware has notyet appeared on the market. This paper, based on the current situation, researched” theenterpirse distirbution network visual protection setting system",expecting to carry out thework of shotr circuit calculation and protection setting for the enterpirses distirbution network,by the way of visual human machine interactive interface on the network wiring diagram. Toactualize the visual process of protection setting, protection setting worker can fast andintuitively complete the operation of adjusting the action time, setting parameters andchoosing the setting pirnciple, which makes it convenient for their involvement of the shortcircuit calculation and protection setting process in real-time.The enterpirse distirbution network visual protection setting system is designed byfollowing the design method of sotfware engineering. Firstly, it established the objectives ofdesign, system model and architecture, by using object-oirented technology,designed thesotfware with UML modeling language and completed the design of the use case diagram,sequence diagram and activity diagram of the system respectively. Then, it is analyzed thecalculation method for multiple faults of power system, and designed the short circuitcalculation component based on CIM standard, programmed the multiple fault calculationprogram, and a practical example was used to verify the correctness of this program. In theprotection setting block design, it designed the flow for current protection setting by followingits rules, completed the design of component for current protection. Latter, it designed graphicelements block which is required by short circuit calculation and protection setting, inaccordance with the pirnciple of the thin client system design on the client side, andestablished the association between graphic elements and the devices which are required by short circuit calculation and protection setting on the server side.Finally,it designed visual graphical interface for the enterpirse distirbution network visualprotection setting calculation software, and a special part of coal enterpirses distribuitonnetwork was chose as a demonstration, in the electircal wiring diagram which is drawn for theenterpirse distribution network on the client, by showing the visual effects for the short circuitcalculation and protection setting process through the visual graphic interface.
