It can improve its dynamic performance, reduce the wear between wheel and rail, decrease manufacture and maintenance cost, improve the reliability of train wheels, extend the life of motor car’s wheels by selecting the appropriate motor car wheel profile.The motor car running on a line which worn wheel profile changes a lot from the standard one. This paper verifies the existence of similar problems on Jing-Ha line based on the Jing-Ha line motor car wheel profile data obtained by field measurement.Through the measurement of the motor car used on Beijing-Harbin line, it finds that the wheel flange wear is more serious on this line.According to the different thickness of flange,the process can be divided into five wear stage, respectively Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ representing different stages of wear surface. It analyses the matching between the wheel and rail of five kinds profile on the straight and curve rail line; Through the analysis of alignment columns motor cars, different body, different wheel, it finds that the one order wheel of the first car body undertakes the guiding role in train operation, the flange wear of wheel near the ends is more serious, the thickness of left and right wheel rim is almost the same.This paper builds the complete vehicle-track dynamic model using the multi-body dynamics software SIMPACK based on the vehicle-track system dynamics theory and the actual motor car and rail parameters. Through the analysis of the dynamic performance index of the derailment coefficient, frictional power, wheel-rail lateral force, wheel-rail vertical force, stable operation and stability in different speed,it finds that the standard XP55wheel worn speed is fast, the surface maintained time is short, the front steering wheel with Ⅱ profile has good centering performance, the wheel with Ⅲ profile has strong anti hunting instability and good stationary performance,and verifies the existence of the dynamics performance difference between the worn profile and the standard one. It also calculates the maximum velocity on different radius curved track and influence of different orbital radius on the wheel profile.It analyses the influence of different wheel profiles on vehicle dynamic performance and the wear of wheel-rail in the different worn stages.It can be seen that the comprehensive performance index of profile Ⅲ is the most excellent from the view of profile optimization design, and it has many excellent characteristics such as little abrasion, little lateral and vertical force, good performance to keep profile, nice stability,etc. Motor car wheel profile can be optimized and designed referencing to this profile.
