With the growing global energy crisis, wind power are developed rapidly in the countries all over the world. Wind power industry in our country started later, most of the technologies are independent on being introduced from overseas. For the lack of independent research and development capacity, improving the ability of independent wind power researching and developing is one of the most significant tasks in China’s wind power industry. Simulation on software is one of the research methods for wind power, which many scholars have adopted. For the LabVIEW software has many advantages such as rich virtual instrument controls, powerful function library, excellent expansibility and simple programming, one simulation software for doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), on which the running characteristics of DFIG can be studied, is designed on LabVIEW platform.The thought of vector transform and vector control are introduced into the study of DFIG, the mathematical model of DFIG in the three-phase static coordinate is discussed, and then transformed to the two-phase model in the stator-voltage-oriented two-phase synchronization reference frame via coordinate transformation based on constant power; and then, through stator-flux-oriented, the no-load grid-connecting control system and generating operation control system are deduced to realize the grid-connecting control and the decoupled control of active and reactive power; then, based on the theoretical basis of DFIG, the simulation software is designed on LabVIEW, including the implementation of the human-machine interactive function, DFIG model and control system, which can realize the login, parameter configuration, controller parameters adjustment, important variables monitoring and have the advantages of simple operation and intuitive interface. Finally, simulation which includes two conditions of no-load operation and generating operation, is completed on the designed software, the grid-connected control, the decoupled control of active and reactive power are realized well, maximum-power-point-trace (MPPT) control is also achieved. The designed simulation software, in which parameters can be adjusted on-line, has good human motor interface, extensibility, generality and flexibility.
