With more and more fossil energy use, the impact of environmental pollution is alsogrowing. In this case, a new kind of less polluting energy is needed to find to replace fossilurgently. Wind energy has clean for environment and it is renewable, which are attractingmore and more attention by people. Therefore, researchers are always focusing on how tomaximize to get the wind energy. The variable speed constant frequency double fed inductiongenerator (DFIG) is object of study on this paper. Meanwhile, the problem of controllingtracking power for double fed induction generator will be researched in this paper.Firstly, the background and significance of wind power generation system are describedin general outlines. Next, the development status of wind power in domestic and foreign areintroduced. Then, the operating principle and area of variable speed wind power generationsystem are analyzed. After that, the model of double fed induction generator in three-phasestationary abc coordinate system is established. Finally, the model on the tow-phasesynchronous rotation speed under d-q coordinate system is according to coordinatetransformation, which simplifies the relationships among the variables for double fedinduction generator.In this thesis, the method of stator field oriented vector control is used to control thedouble fed generator. For vector control system, PI controller has the shortcoming that isdifficult to amend parameters in complex system. Therefor, this paper propose an improvedfuzzy controller based on double fed induction generator vector control system, whichimproves the traditional DFIG vector control system. This method combines the fuzzycontroller and traditional PI controller and use fuzzy controller to correct parameters of PIcontroller, which can reduce time of tracking control and can track the reference powerquickly by controlling active power output of wind power generation system.According to the results of Matlab/Simulink shows that improved vector control systemhas good performance, tracking fast and small overshoot with Pi parameters in a certain rangeof variation compared to the traditional vector control system optimal. That can verify thefeasibility of control system. Finally, the summary of whole test is done.
