In recent years, the excavator is one of the most important engineering mechanical models. And work device is not only an important component of an excavator but also a main component which deserves device load directively. In the production process, it will bring severe vibration. Therefore, it is necessary to work on the vibration problem of excavator’s device to spread further exploration and research.Based on the simplified model of the excavator working device, the equation of motion has been researched. Dynamics model and dynamic characteristics of the MR damper has been analysed. Through researching the semi-active control method and control algorithm, with the use of MR damper, the research of excavator working device of semi-active control simulation has been done. This work mainly consists of the following aspects:(1) On the basis of a wide reading of literature and books, with the understanding of the basic knowledge of vibration control aspect, this paper discusses the present situation and development of the structure vibration reduction control technology;(2) With the model of an excavator device, the vertical direction vibration and damping coefficient relationship has been obtained by solving a quadratic equation;(3) With the existing semi-active control devices and control algorithm studied, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of all sorts of devices and algorithm, ultimately the final control devices and control algorithm is determined;(4) With the deep research of MR damper rheological mechanism and mechanics model, two kinds of MR damper mechanical models are analyzed and compared, and through the relevant data refering to coulomb damping coefficient and current relationship are also been deduced;(5) According to the excavator working device mathematical model and MR damper’s mechanical model, Simulink program of semi-active vibration control system has been established. Through researching the work device vibration control of double state control of simulation, the simulation results have been analyzed.
