Application of high power nonlinear power electronic devices, will result in coal minepower network power factor low and harmonic big, it will bring very great harm to the nationalgrid, so the design of electrical energy quality compensator is very important. This paper mainlyaims at the problem of low power factor of the electric network in coal mine, this paper putsforward a dynamic compensation device--Static Var Generator SVG. This is the popularresearch on dynamic reactive power compensation device field. However, the coal mine powergrid using SVG research found that, in coal mine power network static var generator SVGstability should be improved, the variable structure synovial control algorithm can improve thestability of SVG.In this paper,we will research on the coal mine power network static var generator. Firstintroduces the basic structure and principle of compensation, compares with current inverter andthe voltage type inverter, selected voltage type inverter. Second,we discuss selection of reactivecurrent detection algorithm, this paper compares several existing methods of detecting reactivecurrent and selectes ip-iq current detection algorithm according to the reactive power theory.According to several existing control methods, in view of coal mine complex loading conditions, selects sliding-mode control algorithm. At the end of the static var generator simulationexperiment is carried out, from the simulation results we can see that the SVG not only cancompensate the reactive power, the power factor is raised, but also compensate the harmoniccurrent. In this paper the hardware circuit design, including a signal conditioning circuit, IGBTdriving circuit.
