Infrared earth simulator is a special equipment for testing infrared earth sensor in the simulation laboratory. The test accuracy level of infrared earth sensor in the simulation laboratory will directly influence the accuracy of spacecraft navigation. Based on the working principle and design requirements of collimated infrared earth simulator, aimed at18000Km,35786Km and42000Km etcetera three height of altitude orbit, a high altitude orbits collimating infrared earth simulator is designed. This design can solve the questions of accuracy test and simulation experiment for infrared earth sensor before working.Discuss the overall layout, composition and working principle of the studied earth simulator. Focus on mechanical structure of the earth simulator and put forward designing process of key components in detail. In order to determine the rationality and feasibility of designed structure of the earth simulator, use finite element analysis method to analyze the mechanical structure of the earth simulator. Introduce the alignment method for earth simulator and present the synthesizing error date of earth angle affected by various factors. The results indicate that the errors of three flare angles of earth are all less than±0.05°,°can meet the accuracy requirements of infrared earth sensor’s calibration testing on the ground and can provide technical support for further research for infrared earth sensor.
