Conical scanning earth simulator is the most important calibration equipment for attitude determination of spacecraft charging in middle and low orbit. The working precision of the satellite on different orbit depends on the earth test and calibration equipment of conical scanning earth sensor, and the precision of the sensor’s ground calibration test.This paper describes the current research about the earth simulator at home and abroad. Nowadays, the conical scanning earth simulator can only provide single earth angle for the sensor and that is far from enough. So this paper proposes a new design scheme of variable angle conical scanning earth simulator. Since the size of two movable hold-over plates is big, and the accuracy of rotation is difficult to control, in this paper, a3D simulation model is built, using an electric push rod to make the two movable hold-over plates rotate at the same time through two connecting rod mechanism. At the same time, the reasonableness of the design of the structure is verified, through the stress analysis of the drag rob support, and the analysis of movable hold-over plate and hot plate by ANSYS software. This paper also calculates the accuracy of the movable hold-over plate rotation of the designer earth simulator, and the result is less than0.005°, meeting the requirements of the testing and calibration of the infrared earth sensor.
