Microscope objective’s application is limited to a large extant because of its working distance is short. With the urgent demand for long working distance products, develop a long working distance microscope will have very important significance.In this paper, the optical system design of video microscope with super long working distance is mainly expounded, its wording distance is150mm, field of view is0.8mm, magnification is5and resolution is6um. First, the design scheme of the optical system is confirmed according to the design requirements, the design of the optical system including the design of microscope objectives and the selection of imaging sensor. The design of the objectives is from the perspective of the NA, and then confirms three types at the beginning according to the ways of objective with long working distance, afterwards, using ZEMAX software to optimize the optical structure, at last, confirm the catadioptric objective as the design result according to the comparison of advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of objective. In addition, the selection method and result of the imaging sensor is also provided in this paper.
