The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries is being taking the place of the traditional energy storage device because of its less pollution, high energy density and low cost. The battery formation&grading system is used to battery formation and testing. The traditional system can’t achieve single-point control of channel while increasing the count of channels due to the limitation of equipment, which can’t meet the diverse needs of battery formation and testing.By analyzing the traditional system architecture, we designed a new type of system. The system simplifies the functions of median machine by the means of controlling channels directly using the host computer. So the system expands the scale of channels while achieving the single-control.The PC machine controls a large number of channels, but each channel has a low probability to be controlled in a period of time. According to this feature, we propose a bit vector search algorithm which maps multiple channels into an integer variable. This variable is the so-called bit vector. Each channel corresponds to a bit in the variable. Through judging the value of the bit vector instead of each channel’s property, it improves the speed of searching the channels meeting the specified conditions in all channels.On the basis of the searching algorithm above, the paper describes how to design and implement the control system, including the polling mechanism of communication with hardware, system modeling, the logic of controlling channel, processing instructions, etc. And we also design a database based on the non-related model and means that can store large number of sample values in a storage operation using transaction. We also add functions of automatic calculation parameters and automatic backup database into files for the formation and testing data store in database, which would lead to a more user-friendly interface.As a part of the lithium management information, the control system improves the channel scale while achieving single-point control for each channel, which provides the basis for further research in battery formation and test.
