At present, the information level of most logistics enterprises is low, and the ability ofmonitoring, scheduling transportation vehicles and management of goods is deficiency,which can lead to the increase of cost and the waste of transport capacity, and restrict thedevelopment of logistics enterprises in our country. The problem of vehicle routing (VRP,Vehicle Routing Problem) is the key of logistics system. The optimization of vehicledispatching scheme and choosing the right route of transportation can reduce the operationcost of logistics enterprises, accelerate the speed of response to customer demanding,improve the service quality, and enhance the customer satisfaction. Applying the latesttechnology achievements of optimization scheduling to vehicle monitoring and dispatchingpractice of logistics enterprises has important significance for engineering applications.At first, a mathematical abstraction method is used to describe and analyze theordinary vehicle scheduling problem and its constraints in this thesis, and then the modelof the vehicle monitoring and dispatching is established. The solution to solve the problemof vehicle scheduling is proposed on the basis of mathematical model by comprehensivelyusingA*algorithm and genetic algorithm. Based on the above research work, the overallarchitecture of logistics enterprises vehicle monitoring and dispatching system whichconsisted of communication link, center server and vehicle-mounted terminal is established.A relational database including company vehicles, order, inventory, goods and so on isdesigned. The performance of the database is good and its efficiency of access is high.Considering the influence factors such as delivery location information, vehicleinformation, cargo information, order information and so on, this thesis solves velopark,multi-vehicle, multi-objective vehicle scheduling problem and optimization problem with apath node constraint. The design of the monitoring and scheduling system softwareprogram is completed, which can realize a lot of functions such as the basic information management, vehicle scheduling, vehicle real-time positioning, vehicle monitoring control,vehicle scheduling, real-time cargo tracking, path planning, security alarm and so on.The main module of vehicle monitoring and dispatching system for the logisticsenterprises is designed and realized based on the Microsoft.NET platform, uses C#development language tools, is combined with GPS, and takes advantage of the MapInfocompany’s development component MapXtreme2008of geographic information system.By the software system, the proposed model and method is tested by the simulationexperiment and the correctness of the system is verified. The established vehiclemonitoring and dispatching system has good application value for the vehicle managementof small and medium-sized logistics enterprises.
