With the development of the steel structure housing industry, there are more andmore applications of steel frame structures.Whereas, the weight of the light steelstructure is lighter. The main cross section size is smaller. The structure ductility isbigger and the natural vibration period is longer. The resist lateral force stiffness issmaller. The action of structure damage is serious under the strong earthquake. Theconcentrically braced frame system is a kind of double resist lateral force system, whichoffers good anti-seismic effect to the structure. To understand and promote this system,the following main section of research work been done:(1)On the base of large quantity of home and alien data, this article introduces therelevant developing situation of CBF both at home and abroad and the workingprinciple and the method of seismic analysis;(2)The dynamic characteristics are educed by the spectral analysis of the steelframe acceleration scanning with white noise. Compared between pure frame structureand concentrically braced frame structure, the acceleration dynamic magnificationfactor is analyzed under three input wave, El-Centro, Taft and Lanzhou, and also thedisplacement analysis is taking in the same way;(3)Establishing pure frame structure base model and take it as a prototypecomparison structure, based on this, adding concentrically braced, mainly by SAP2000finite element analysis software. Compared between pure frame structure andconcentrically braced frame structure, let the two structure schemes of the lateralstiffness analysis and dynamic analysis. In three input wave, El-Centro, Taft andLanzhou, and the level of the rarely met earthquake, the action of displacement, and topof displacements angle, top acceleration, basal function and seismic response ofelastic-plastic time history analysis are analysis. Comprehensive analysis two kinds oflight steel structure schemes, the seismic performance of the pros and cons is obtained.In the paper, three analysis methods are used for the performance test and theshaking table test, including test date analysis and the finite element simulation. Thoughcomparing, all the results are matched. It indicates that the concentrically braced frame structure can contribute well damping effort for the structures.
