It is the multi-dynamics model building and characteristic optimum of leaf springssuspension that plays a very important role on vehicle design and development andsimulation analysis of vehicle performance. This article studies the multi-dynamicsmodel building of leaf springs in pickup and preliminarily researches characteristicdesign and optimization method of suspension system.Firstly, it summarizes and analysises the widely-used modeling method ofmulti-dynamics model of three kinds of leaf springs and makes a comparison betweenthe three method and their merits and demerits. The research indicates that it is the mostreasonable approach to do KnC characteristic analysis of Suspension and full vehicledynamical simulation by using the multi-dynamics model of leaf springs with variablestiffness which is established by the Beam method. With the help of leaf spring inAdams, it builds plate spring multi-dynamics model of the target vehicle and carries outthe stiffness of the simulation, we know that this multi-dynamics model has highersimulation precision. Based on this model, set up suspension system model and dosimulations study of the suspension. Contrast the simulation result with the test result,and it shows that this multi-dynamics model has higher simulation precision.Secondly, this article conducts a preliminary exploration of characteristic designand optimization method of suspension system which proceeds from the stability ofvehicle operation and on the basis of full vehicle model which is builded according tothe system characteristics. Optimizing suspension system needs to build objectiveevaluation methods which can meet the demands. This paper summarizes objectiveevaluation methods about handling stability in ISO and national standard, drawsobjective evaluation index which can accurately and comprehensively describe thehandling stability from the test conditions and establishes the objective evaluationsystem about handling stability. Then according to the evaluation system, adoptingoptimization analysis to research the optimization method of suspension system. Theresearch uses the Carsim software to simulated the entire vehicle, Matlab software tosimulate data handling and iSIGHT software to simulate and optimize.
