| Compared to traditional lateral force resistant system-reinforced concrete shear wall,Steel plate shear wall,as a new system to resist lateral force,can significantly reduce theweight of the structure,and the ductility performance of the structure has also improvedsignificantly.Unstiffened thin steel plate shear wall(SPSW) using the plate strength after shearbuckling to resist lateral force,can make the best of the plate,and improve the economy of thestructure.In this dissertation, unstiffened thin steel plate shear wall is designed andinvestigated,.The main research work are showed as below:1) The unstiffened steel plate shear walls are designed and investigations of the designedstructures between different aspect ratio and ductility is carried out.In order to finish thesejobs, Etabs and ABAQUS software are used. The results show that this performance-basedseismic design method is effective in obtaining the structure’s ductility,the yield mechanismof the structure is same as the predetermined yield mechanism,and it satisfies the ductiledesign requirement.2) Parametric anslysis and seismic performance analysis of the designed SPSWstructures are carried out using ABAQUS.The paramentrics include the thickness and yieldpoint of the steel plate. Finally, the designed SPSW structure is evaluated based on theCapacity Spectrum Method. |
