The forebay of a pumping station is a segment that connects intake channel and intake sump.It can make the intake channel and intake sump connects reasonably,so that the water flow smoothly and evenly into the intake sump,and provide a good absorbent condition for the pump. Reasonable structure layout, flow smooth, small head loss of the former pool structure, which can not only reduce the cost, improve the efficiency of the pumping plant pump station, but also cause the pump to reduce energy consumption, make the operation of the pumping station is more stable and efficient.In the intake sump,water flow rates require to be stable and its velocity distributes evenly.Also no vortex and circumfluence phenomenon is required, otherwise will not only reduce the pump efficiency, even cause the pump cavitation, unit vibration and unable to work.The main factors that affect the flow pattern of the intake sump are its geometric shape, size, and position of the suction pipe.This paper takes the No six Guhaikuoguan pumping station in Ningxia as an example,By using the computational fluid dynamics software to do the three-dimensional numerical simulation of the flow pattern of the pump station forebay.References and with practice, then puts forward some rectification scheme and through the numerical simulation to prove its feasibility.In this thesis, the main contents include:1、Read the domestic and foreign research literature about the forebay of the pumping station to understand the research and progress, as well as some of the forebay main rectification measures and the direction of development.2、Understand calculation model for turbulent:prandtl mixing length model, process model, the RNG model both sides, and the large eddy simulation model of calculation theory, determine the range of different calculation models are applicable, choose the appropriate calculating model of numerical calculation.3、Use UG to build the model in proportion.4、Using the computational fluid dynamics software to simulate the design conditions and the increased conditions of the pumping station.By intercepting the different sections of the flow rate of the flow line diagram, analyze the causes of adverse flow pattern, and make some corrective measures.5、Set different corrective measures, and selected the optimal solution.Through the numerical simulation to verify its feasibility, and the improvement of the adverse flow through the contrast.
