Domestic and foreign researchers have proved that evaporativecooling technique is an energy saving, environmental, green, healthy airconditioning technology. In recent years, the technology has a wide useand rapid development in the arid land of northwest china. But the area inthe south of China, the application is not very common. The air in most ofthe south is humid, relative humidity up to70%-80%, which makes thehygrometric difference is small, only use evaporative cooling technologyis not enough to cool the outdoor air to the specified supply airtemperature. Therefore, simple evaporative cooling technology is notfeasible in the arid land of northwest china. But if we dry the outdoor airby using some dehumidification methods, then it’s like dry areas ingeneral, using evaporative cooling technology to deal with air willbecome feasible.Based on this idea, an intelligent evaporation-typed natural windventilator which combines with rotary dehumidification and evaporativecooling technology and supported by intelligent controller is capable tothe moist southern china area.Firstly, a system design of the ventilator is provided in this article,which covers the interpretation of working Principles of system, theoverall design of the unit, the selection of installation kits and the designof the intelligent controller. Secondly,giving an efficiency analysis andtheoretical calculation to the various parts of ventilator,and the mainevaluation index of equipments will be acquired:Rated Air Flow is2500m3/h,sensible heat capacity of air conditioner is8.419kw,the powerinput is1.032kw, energy efficiency ratio is8.15.Then, a field testingwhich centers in the air cooling effect is taken for the ventilator. Finally,CFD numerical simulation and thermal comfort analysis are taken todiscuss the affects of air exchange rate and door/window condition etc. tothe efficiency of indoor temperature and humidity change, and find that10times/h room air exchange rate with door and windows open is thebest choice. Under this condition, the indoor temperature is28.5℃, andthe relative humidity is80%~82%.So, the intelligent evaporation-typed natural wind ventilator can cool the temperature in summer condition,and evaporative cooling technology have great applied prospect in southarea.
