Many countries treat PEV (pure electric vehicles) as a long-term developmentgoal with the significant merits of non-pollution and zero-emission. However, thelimited driving range of PEV has puzzled all researchers, and directly slows down theprocess of product. PEV consist of energy storage system, driving system and vehiclecontrol system, and energy management is the key technology of vehicle controlsystem, which rationality is quite important to PEV product.This paper do a depth research of PEV energy management based on rapidcontrol prototyping. The main tasks are as follows.First the paper analyse PEVstructure, and performance evaluating indicator, stating the brake energy recoverytheory. After that the paper choose the battery and motor on the basis of the dynamicperformance goal, designing the vehicle energy management strategy, includinggeneration torque control under brake energy recovery mode and motor torque controlunder non-brake energy recovery mode, in addition under the former mode, distributeand calculate the brake force. Then we establish the energy management model inMtalab,cosimulating with the vehicle model in CRUISE and verifying the energymanagement strategy preliminary,optimizing the energy management strategy andcontrasting the energy recovery ratio. Finally, we realize the energy managementstrategy on RCP, including modeling, building, downloading, calibrating, anddebugging, do wheel hub test after assemble as well.This paper design and realize the energy management strategy ofPEV.Co-simulating and optimizing the strategy at the designing stage, calibrating anddebugging at the realizing stage.The simulation data is close to the test data and theenergy recovery ratio is increase, demonstrating that the paper achieve the vehicleenergy management goal and the optimizing strategy work well. Therefore, the energymanagement strategy is utility worthy of offering reference to vehicle control of PEVdesign.
