Nowadays, with the ongoing progress of transportation and expectation of high quality driving roads, Semi-rigid base and flexible cladding method has been used for most of road constructions in China. In addition, because of the surpassed the life cycle of cement concrete road and overload transportation, which have caused pavement damaged and use quality affected. Bad driving condition and feeling difficult to speed up on cement concrete pavement are two main problems need to be solved in urgently. Actually the performance of pavement could be improved by asphalting overlaid on the old cement concrete pavement. However, due to dry shrinkage property and temperature contraction property of semi-rigid base, old cement concrete pavement has a variety of joints and cracks, which is inevitable under this condition. With the sense of cost saving, constructors are supposed to reduce the existence of reflective cracking.Under the limitation of the depth of overlay structure, rubber asphalt stress absorbing membrane interlayer is a good choice to reduce the reflective cracking. It has excellent cohesiveness, waterproofness, durability and other characteristics, but also good in resolution of stress force and reflective cracking. at the same time, its construction equipment is simple, construction speed is fast and the quality is easy to control. In addition, rubber asphalt stress absorbing membrane interlayer is a bonding material, which is a kind of modifier from useless wheel rubber powder added to matrix asphalt through high temperature. It is kind of protecting the environment by recycled the wasted wheel instead of creating "dark pollution". The choice of this contained tremendous economic benefits, environment benefits and social benefits.Based on the multilayer elastic system theory, this thesis uses ABAQUS software to set up a three-dimensional finite element model of composite pavement. To research mechanical properties of composite pavement structure laying rubber asphalt stress absorbing membrane interlayer by calculating finite element model. At meantime, simplified model of contact area could be observed from various tread patterns. Refer the test result of tire ground pressure to put forward the pressure distribution form within the contact area; Set up the composite pavement model in non-uniform load; Compare with the uniform load case to analyze the effect of load’s non-uniform properties on the mechanical responses of pavement structure.
