Industrial boilers are indispensable equipment in manufacturing industry, whichare widely used in machinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, paper, food, etc. Theindustrial boilers’ safety of operation is directly related to the people life and propertysecurity. The boiler accidents often cause large economic losses and casualties.Therefore, it is of great significance for us to monitor the operation state of theindustrial boilers and make fault early warning.This paper researches and designs the boilers remote monitoring and earlywarning system based on GPRS network, for real-time monitoring the industrialboilers operation parameters, and the fuzzy expert system was built base on this,which can forecast certain fault occurred in industrial boilers and to achieve thepurpose of fault early warning.This paper firstly explains the research background of the boilers remotemonitoring and early warning, meaning and purpose, while summarizes theapplication of wireless data transmission technology and the current research status ofmonitoring and early warning system. This paper designs the overall design scheme ofboilers remote monitoring system, which is based on field investigation for industrialboilers and the research of the monitoring early warning system. The system is mainlycomposed of data collection, data transmission and the remote monitoring and earlywarning platform. This paper designs two different types of data acquisitioninstrument according to the specific condition of industrial boilers sites, one of theboiler data acquisition instrument is based on transmitter output, another is based onPLC output. The paper researches and analyses the networking architecture, accessway and transport protocol on GPRS wireless transmission, and makes thecommunication application layer protocol. The two kinds of boiler data acquisitioninstrument for different monitoring objects realize data acquisition and remote datatransmission, providing real-time operation parameters for monitoring and earlywarning platform. Based on the boiler fault has non-accuracy and uncertainty features,this paper uses fuzzy mathematics theory and combines with expert knowledge toestablish fuzzy expert system model. The boiler fault early warning fuzzy expertsystem uses the producing formula regulation knowledge expressing method toexpress the expert knowledge of knowledge base, and combines with SQL Server2000to classify and build the knowledge base. The inference machine is designed, which is using fuzzy reasoning approach and forward reasoning strategy. According toparameters variety characteristic, the system combines with the expert systemknowledge in the knowledge base, and though fuzzy reasoning to infer the occurreddegree of specific fault, and achieves fault early warning. Finally, the water wall tubeleakage instance validates the correctness and effectiveness of the system. At thesame time, the corresponding relation table of industrial boiler faults and the relevantfault signs is given for industrial boiler fault early warning.Finally, Web technology is used in this paper, the monitoring and early warningplatform uses B/S architecture form of Web pages to release industrial boilersoperation parameters and fault early warning information in real-time, and therelevant experts are also able to manage expert system knowledge through Web page.
