The liquid hydro-hybrid bearing is an oil film bearing by using external oilsupply system to provide static pressure, and the rotation of spindle to producedynamic pressure. From the start to the end, the shaft shoulder and the bearing isalways separated by a layer of liquid oil film, so this bearing is characterized by zerowear and long life. In addition, hydrodynamic bearings have an ad vantage of largebearing capacity and high stiffness. Therefore, the hydrodynamic bearing is widelyused in precision machinery, such as numerical control grinder. The main researchwork of this paper includes the following parts:First of all, by using the Finite Difference Method, the calculation model of fluidhydrodynamic bearing of roll grinder is established on the basis of thetwo-dimensional Reynolds equation and flow continuity equation.Secondly, the influence of eight parameters on the performance of hydro-hybridbearing is analyzed when the values of supply pressure are different. In order to selecta group of parameters in accordance with the project, some parameters that have littleinfluence on the performance of bearing were determined first. And the otherparameters, whose radial clearance is mutual coupling and has a greater impact on theperformance of bearing, are made a further calculation on the principle of the mostclose to the ideal condition (which means that when the all parameters can not get tothe ideal value at the same time, we can make the parameters get to the ideal value orclose to the ideal value as much as possible). Then a group of optimal parameters areselected by the calculated results.Thirdly, the parameters, whose depth of oil chamber refers to the third dimensionof bearing, are analyzed by FLUENT (a software of three-dimensional numericalsimulation).It is got when the critical values of the depth of oil chamber and the depthof return chute cannot be neglected for the performance of bearing.At last, the temperature field and thermal deformation of the bearing areanalyzed by using the co-simulation methods including two numerical simulationsoftware FLUENT and ANSYS, for the reference of Thermoelasto hydrodyna micanalysis.
