In the current wave of China’s rapid economic development, energy consumptionwas also found increasing geometrically. Huge energy consumption of oil p ose seriouschallenges to our environment and climate. Transportation energy consumption, industrial energy consumption, building energy consumption, are called China’senergy consumption three "Tiger". China’s "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" proposed"Eleventh Five-Year" period20%reduction in energy consumption per unit of GDP,the total emissions of major pollutants reduced by10%. To achieve this goal is still along way to go. China’s building energy consumption, which particularly evident inlarge office buildings, commercial build ings, has obvious energy consumptioncharacteristics. these buildings which are characterized by low energy consumptioneffic iency, total energy consumption, energy-saving potentia l, are priority areas ofwork of building energy efficiency. In the partition of the country’s climate, hot summer and cold winter energysituation is particularly grim. An integral part of this part of building energyconsumption interact with each other and even contradictory. Summer windowintroduced by a large area of natural ventilation and natural lighting, can improve theventilation brings comfort, also is conducive to winter solar heat gain in the summer, and lead to excessive calorie intake, increasing the cooling load. And then greatlyincrease the energy consumption of the building in the summer and winter demandcontradiction. This article describes the application of passive design at home and abroad. bydescribing the climate and passive design and thermal comfort relationship betweenthe three, the passive design which is based on the climate and thermal comfortfeatures will be applied to the design of office buildings. In this paper, research isbased on meteorological data and basic conditions, first introduce human thermalcomfort evaluation index, and then via the Climate Consultant(CC) softwaresimulation tool find the hot summer and cold winter, five typical cities (Shangha i,Wuhan, Changsha, Nanchang, Chengdu) office build ing passive strategies byhorizontal and vertical contrast qualitative analysis, which is under the premise ofeffective boundary conditions of the various strategies. And then paper gets theevaluation of the effectiveness of the index, and concluded. Through the previously qualitative analysis, the conclus ions is made. on the basisof the conclusions, the basic office building model is established by DesignBuildersoftware to quantitative ly analyze a specific design strategy of hot summer and coldwinter typical cities (Shangha i, Wuhan, Changsha). Through this kinds of quantitativeanalysis, the analog energy consumption of the building can be obtained. at the sametime, through the data of the horizontal and vertical contrast, the effectiveness of thisstrategy (paper selected shade strategies) can be verified. By quantitative and contrastanalysis of the strategy on different settings of the parameters, it is possible to obtainthe optimum design conditions and means of this strategy. This paper origina lity establish Climate Consultant (CC)+of the DesignBuilder(DB) research mode, which provides a new set of design ideas and methods for thepassive strategies of the office building in hot summer and cold winter. Studiesanalyzes the office build ing passive design strategy in specific climate. Whichprovides in the program early stages and deepening stages of a good simulation ofbuild ing energy consumption parameters and evaluation tools for architects. Thismeans lay a good cornerstone for building a good quality energy-saving projects. Theprogram, designed by passive design, means a clear advantage in all aspects ofquality of construction, and significantly reduce the annua l energy consumption of thebuild ing and future maintenance costs, at the same time, greatly increase the comfortof the building, which not only brings good economic benefits for the owners but alsobrings users a healthy working environment.
