| 220kV substations play a very important role in power system and the insulations of the apparatuses in substation are unrecoverable.Once the lighting accident takes place,the power cut will be unavoidable in a large scale.A lightning irush overvoltage is one of the dominant factors that determines the insulation level of a substation.It is very hard to observe the lightning irush overvoltage experimentally, so a numerieal simulation is needed as a main analytical tool.ATP-Draw is widely used at home and abroad.While the lighting inrush overvoltage is the main reason for the substation accident,so the research on the lighting inrush overvoltage is very essential.The paper focuses on the lighting inrush protection of220kV wuqiang substation.The simulation models of all apparatuses were first built.Then the overvoltage was computed using ATP-Draw,and adequate possible models involved in the simulation are suggested, including transmission line, tower, insulator, GIS, arrester, and so on.Final,the lighting overvoltage protection plan was proposed combining the insulation margin of electrical apparatuses.The results show that in the substation,when the arrester is settled in the outlet side,the220kV and110kV electrical distribution equipment can be protected from the lighting inrush overvoltage. |
