Disc type steel pipe scaffold, Wheel buckle scaffolding and Plug type steel tube scaffolding are novel scaffolds. They are very similar in connection mode and the stress pattern. In order to facilitate the research, we put these three kinds of scaffold together with the analysis and named them Socket Type Steel Pipe Scaffold. As a new investment project it has already been put in use for7-8years. Compared to the traditional scaffold, it has a great advantage in fast erection, stability and quality. In order to effectively regulate products of new type scaffold, several industry standards have been set up by State for socket-type steel pipe scaffolding. However these standards are still short for uniform criteria, which would cause the quality supervision scaffolding market confusion. In order to make mechanical performance test and uniform the standard for Socket Type Steel Pipe Scaffold, the following work will be completed in the thesis:(1) Experimental analyses about the nodes of Disc and Wheel were carried out which including the positive bending test, negative bending test and shear test about Disc and Wheel. Through comparative analysis of these experimental data, the thesis summarized the test control standard reference.(2) Using the analysis software of ANSYS to anlaysis the nodes of Disc and Wheel, and carry on their numerical simulation for the stress and deformation under different loads. Then compared the simulation data with test data to analysis and verify the validity and feasibility of the numerical model. Both of these works lay the foundation for understanding of the nodes test.(3) Through the experimental test on the Socket to analysis the semi-rigid steel pipe scaffolding nodes and establish the M-θ, curve of the node. Through comparing the analysis of Disc and Wheel, thesis calculated the bending stiffness values K of semi-rigid node.(4) Analysis on the effect of initial imperfection on scaffolding pole and using the equivalent horizontal load principle to establish the overall stability of the scaffolding new model——the semi-rigid sway frame model. In combining with the relevant specification for simplified calculation model, using SPA2000finite element analysis software to analysis the model and get the critical load. At the same time, this model can work out the critical load of semi-rigid nodes under the ultimate load, which provides the reference for the establishment of testing standards.(5) With referring for the national standards of other types of scaffold component and using the experience of other researchers for plug-in steel pipe scaffold, this thesis concluded the research conclusion and get data for further screening or comparison. Finally the paper determined three testing standards and test plan for the socket of the steel pipe scaffold. Therefore this experiment has high practical value to provide data support for the establishment of national standard formulation.
