Socket type steel tubular scaffold is a new type of scaffold. It has a good application prospect and a vast development potential because of the advantages of convenient installation, reasonable structure and relative low cost. In order to explore the mechanical performance of socket type steel tubular scaffold, based on bolt type steel scaffold experiment and joint node semi-rigid test, using the finite element analysis software SAP2000modeling analysis of the whole frame and draw some useful conclusions to guide the actual construction. The main contents are as follows:(1)The two different experiment find out each of the ultimate bearing capacity and buckling mode, the ultimate bearing capacity of plan I and plan II are33.75kN and50kN.At the same time socket joint node semi-rigid test measures the connection stifness.(2)Based on the results of experiments to stimulate experimental models by SAP2000, The results of SAP2000and experimental results are basically the same, it is verify the correctness through comparative analysis.(3)On account of numerical models, several finite element models have been built to analyze the factors which influence the ultimate bearing capacity. Main factors are as follows:joint connection stiffness, life height, horizontal, vertical cross support strengthening layer setting and level, diagonal bracing and formwork shoring height.
