With the rapid development of automobile industry, cars and traffic accidents alsoincreased. In the event of a collision, the side of the car crash of concern because of the highcasualty rate.Now improve the car crash simulation accuracy is of great significance for improvingvehicle safety. And some parts are obtained by stamping molding process. There will be avariation in thickness, the plastic deformation and residual stress occurs in the moldingprocess, these are the factors that affect the car crash simulation accuracy. However, thetraditional collision simulation does not consider the impact of these factors.Car door beam and door system is the object of this paper, and a formability analysis ofkey energy-absorbing components was performed. Static to collision strength testrequirements with the United States FMVSS214regulations of cars. A finite element crashsimulation model was created, The key energy-absorbing parts molding results which isintroduced into the finite element model of the original collision, The specific contents are asfollows:The crash-simulation-analysis was based on the original model、the one-step model、incremental model. Comparison of three simulation results is very easy to find, both modelshave a greater difference in energy absorption and acceleration. One-step precision is worsethan the incremental method,but it is very efficient,we always use it in a vehicle collision.On the basis of traditional crash simulation studies, door system crash simulationmethod which is consider the impact of metal forming results. Examples of a domestic car, afinite element model of the door systems was build,and do some research above. Researchshows that, with the introduction of forming results, energy absorption of the door system isdiffident. Collision force and he maximum acceleration is diffident too. Door systems absorbenergy decreased13.84%,The peak acceleration is increased about20%. This situation ismore close to the real vehicle crash test.The forming process results of crash simulation accuracy can not be neglected. Theresults of the metal forming was introduced into the door system crash simulation analysis, itcan effectively improve the car door system crash simulation accuracy. By study of door system, An optimization program was proposed. And the effectivenessof this program was verified. The results show that the optimization scheme can improve thestiffness of the door system,it also can strengthen the crashworthiness of the door. So it canimprove the safety performance of the door system.
