Research On Fuzzy Robust Control System Of Nuclear Reactor Power

Power control system is a key part of nuclear reactor control system, which is important to the safe operation of nuclear power plant. The safety, reliability and economic operation of nuclear plants largely depend on the level of reactor power control system.Nuclear reactor is a complex non-linear system, and its parameters are the functions of power level, nuclear fuel-burning extent and control rod worth, which vary with time. Therefore, the controller must be robustness, non-linear and fast-requirement. The traditional reactor power PID control is not satisfied when a wide range of changes occur in the current electric network load characteristics. Since Fuzzy-PID control theory can describe the non-linear system effectively, and T-S fuzzy robust control theory can approximate infinitely the non-linear system. Using fuzzy-PID or T-S fuzzy robust theory, combining with model control theory and robust control theory, we can design a satisfying reactor power control system.A nuclear reactor controlling model is constructed which is based on point reactor neutron kinetics. Based on the model, the state feedback control system, the Fuzzy-PID controller and the fuzzy robust controller based on T-S model are designed. The simulation result of the Fuzzy-PID controller shows, the controller can effectively control the reactor power, and their control effect is better than traditional PID controller. Second, the fuzzy robust controller is designed by using parallel distributed compensation (PDC), and the controller is stable by applying fuzzy robust stability theory. The simulation shows that the nuclear power can be well controlled in three typical conditions.
