The Research On The Application Of Visual Psychology On Ship Office Apace Environment

With the improvement of the development of China’s shipbuilding industry and thedegree of internationalization, the shipping market competition shifts from the purelytechnical aspects competition to the competition how to build better relationship between theman and the marine environment. The design of the space shipping interior space changesfrom the passive design in the past to the modern requirements that space accommodates theneeds of the people.The design of the office space will have a direct impact on office efficiency and physicaland mental health of the crew in the shipping interior space. Some office space is animportant window to show the image of the ship. The application of visual psychology in theshipping office space was studied from the entry point of visual psychology theory in thispaper.The main research contents of this paper include the following:(1)The biological basis of visual psychology was explored through analyzing the basic structure and the visual image forming process of visual principle. On this basis, the basic theory of visual psychology which comprised order, integrity, variability, etc, was concluded.(2)The shipping office space environment was researched and analyzed, whichincluding mechanical environment, marine environment, noise environment, lightenvironment, and other environmental factors. Meanwhile, the relationship between theshipping office space and a variety of environmental factors was analyzed. At the same time,it formated a constraint for the application in the design of the shipping office space of thevisual psychology.(3)The target compartment was deeply studied based on the research of the relating design example which was analyzed from the view of visual psychology. Order, integrity, and variability of visual psychology theory was applied to the specific design. Via the creative designspace, interface, furniture, decorative and the other basic elements of the cabin environment,a comfortable, pleasant ship office environment which can meet to the specific needs was build up. Eventually, the design principle and design procedure of the visual psychology was summarized from the view of visual psychology. (4)Combination of theoretical research and practice was useful. On one hand, the visualpsychological theory could guide the design practice. On the other hand, the practice resultswould verify if the theory could apply to the shipping office environment.
