As an important working condition of hydraulic excavator, the efficiency of loading operations directly affects the efficiency of the machine excavator. With the widespread use of the excavator in the construction and users’stringent requirements on operating efficiency and energy consumption, research on the efficiency of loading operations of the excavator has important practical value. In this paper, with medium-size type hydraulic excavator as the study carrier, an in-depth and meticulous research is carried out on the loading operating efficiency of the excavator based on proportional priority valve control; the main work is as follows:The research status and development trend of the loading operating system of the excavator is summaried, the structure and working principle of several priority valves that are currently used is introduced, and the results achieved and the presence of limitations are pointed out.The loading characteristics of the boom and swing are studied under loading operations of the excavator and the mathematical modeling is established for the boom and swing hydraulic system, and on this basis, the essential reasons of the introduction of a priority valve is analyzed and the area the priorrity valve should match under different loading gesture is studied; The AMEsim and ADAMS software are applied to establish a co-simulation model of the excavator, the area that the priority valve matchs under different loading gesture is simulated, in this way, the difficulties in determine the parameters by the direct solving method is avoided.The simulation software Fluent is used to simulate the priority valve designed in this paper, analyze the pressure, velocity and fluid force of the oil fluid of throttling groove of priority valve in two different flow directions; The priority valve in different openings is simulated to analyze the fluid force,on this basis, the priority valve control is studied.The experimental platform is built to veriry the simulated module of the excavator machine and liquid established in this paper, according to the proportional priority valve proposed in this paper,experimental platform is established to test the loading operations efficiency of the excavator controlled by the the proportional priority valve.
