Disk pile is a new type of piles developed lately. Compared with normal straight pile, it has advantages of strong adaptability, high bearing capacity, simplex operation and saving raw materials. At present disk pile has been already applied in many actual engineering in our country and achieved relatively good results. However, developed as a new type of pile, its researches and engineering applications under uplift load are less, especially in the case of disk pile group. In practical engineering, many pile foundation is to come in the form of pile group. Working behavior of disk pile group foundation under uplift loading is different from single disk pile foundation. Pile group bear the force through soil-pile interaction. The process is relatively complex. Pile group under uplift pressure bears the force by soil-pile interaction. The process is relatively complex with pile group effect into consideration. On the basis of reading and analyzing the related domestic and international literature, the pulling mechanism and bearing capacity of disk pile group are studied through systematic laboratory model test.It includes that:(1)It introduces the history, application status, existing main problems and main research of disk pile.(2)It introduces force mechanism and describes the calculation methods of bearing capacity under uplift load.(3) By groups of model test, it analyzes working behavior of disk pile group under uplift load. Namely, it analyzes bearing behavior of disk pile group with different numbers, different spacing between piles and piles under different soil characteristics corresponding to the diameter of pile group.(4) The finite element analysis software ABAQUS is applied to simulate the model pile, which helps to further research on working properties and behavior of the pile-soil interaction of disk pile groups with different pile spacing under uplift load.
