As a new form of commercial buildings, large commercial street with top exist problem thatfire district area is too large and the evacuation distance is too long which has brought challengefor safety evacuation. Based on the concept of performance-based fire safety design, the firesafety technical analysis is made to a commercial street.This paper mainly introduces the performance-based personnel safety evacuation theory,through the understanding of performance-based personnel security theory performance-basedassessment model is established and the fire scenario.Using computer simulation software FDS, fire smoke flow analysis model is established, tosimulate the gas flow.The BuildingEXODUS safety evacuation simulation and calculationmethod applied to a large commercial pedestrian street in the performance-based fire protectiondesign project, the calculation data, for the large commercial pedestrian street ofperformance-based fire protection design provides a more reliable personnel security as the mainbasis of the project the performance-based evacuation data, and according to the results of thecalculation and analysis for the commercial pedestrian street performance-based design tostrengthen measures are put forward.Based on performance-based fire design concept, the criterion of the evacuation is“R/ASET” theory in this paper. In order to better verified the practicality and reliability ofevacuation calculation and simulation, the article design and analysis one project of thecommercial street with top to validation the theory. The result shows that adopt a variety ofevacuation calculation and simulation methods to analysis the evacuation time in the building,which can offer design basis for performance-based fire-protection design.
