With the development of power industry construction in our country, the modern electricpower system towards the large power grids, large unit, high pressure, large capacitydevelopment, stability, guarantee the reliability of the power system, and also put forwardhigher requirements on the safety degree of electric power equipment. Gas InsulatedSubstation (GIS) has developed very quickly and has been in use all over the world, itscompact size, high reliability, low maintenance have made it an attractive option in manycircumstance. However, operation experiences show that intrinsic defects in GIS still causeaccidents though its high reliability. Partial discharge is one of the most effective means ofon-line insulation monitoring of GIS, is also the insulation sign and form deterioration, andfurther the causes of deterioration of insulation. For early fault diagnosis of GIS, timelyforecast the trend of the development of the PD and prediction of equipment insulationdeterioration degree, research at home and abroad in recent years are devoted to partialdischarge on-line diagnosis technology.In view of the above situation, this paper conducts the research to the partial dischargemonitoring principle of different types at first. The author compares the main method forpartial discharge on-line monitoring of various GIS, through in-depth analysis of UHF method,demonstrates the feasibility of UHF method in GIS in PD monitoring. Secondly, the writerintroduces the method to establish the GIS on-line monitoring system, including on-linemonitoring system principle, results, etc. Finally, combined with the GIS on-line monitoringsystem in Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau has been installed, to analyze the signal monitoringsystem. The author summarizes various patterns reflect PD, typical patterns and summarizedifferent PD correspond to the type of typical interference, and the corresponding.In summary, this thesis in system monitoring method, partial discharge GIS, signalanalysis, fault diagnosis and judge the application systematic study. The results of this study,the continuous improvement of the system and to better grasp the equipment insulationcondition, has certain practical significance state monitoring.
