With the rapid development of Chinese urban rail transit, urban traffic congestion problem has been effectively eased, but also the mismatch between facilities and streamline layout and passenger flow has been exposed, which would easily cause congestion and detention during peak times. This paper discusses bottlenecks identification and remission on the basis of the advanced experience inland and abroad.First of all, the station passenger flow characteristics and passengers’ walking characteristic in different facilities are analyzed, and the streamline’s characteristics are analyzed.Secondly, the station bottleneck is defined from the perspective of the impact to station distribution, including static capacity-based static bottleneck and sensitive coefficient-based dynamic bottleneck, the classification and characteristic of bottleneck are studied, based on bottleneck classification method for production system, dynamic bottleneck is divided into independent bottleneck and dependent bottleneck, and the independent bottleneck is divided into primary bottleneck and secondary bottleneck.Meanwhile, the design specifications-based static bottleneck identification method and the simulation-based dynamic bottleneck identification method are presented, the dynamic bottleneck identification method can effectively identify all the bottlenecks in the station, and the affiliated relationship between the bottlenecks is identified.In addition, the dynamic bottleneck remission process is established, the bottleneck remission measures is presented by judging the facilities’ type and whether the station can be remoulded or not, the result is timely retroacted to the simulation system for validation until the bottlenecks are completely eliminated, and the station bottleneck remission scheme is presented.At last, the Beijing subway station is chosen to identify the static bottlenecks and the dynamic bottlenecks based on passenger flow before festival, the bottleneck identification results of the two methods are compared and analyzed, and the dynamic bottlenecks are eased and validated by simulation, the station bottleneck remission scheme is presented and the congestion in the station is eliminated.
