500kV substation as an important network hub, the safety of its operation willaffect the safe operation of a power grid. At present,500KV substation circuit breakerexplosion and damage accidents are more, therefore, must study the running status ofhigh voltage circuit breaker experience in China deeply, to control risk, strengthen theweak links in the management, accomplish iridology. This paper first introduces themain content of the circuit breaker status and research at home and abroad, and thendescribes the basic working principle, circuit breaker components and function inpower system. Through the operation and fault analysis of Power Supply Bureau ofZhaoqing province in2012and the500kV substation circuit breaker, operationcondition of500kV substation circuit breaker must establish a risk assessmentmanagement model, reflect the real operation condition and level in the benchmarkrisk, the risk control model should consider the average fault rate of equipment,equipment may loss assets, assets quantified data base etc.. According to the circuitbreaker control risk assessment model, equipment condition assessment of circuitbreaker evaluation and risk assessment of the level of risk, formulate and implementthe corresponding risk control measures, ensure that the500kV substation circuitbreaker safe, stable operation. This thesis is focused on the development of the riskmanagement model based on risk assessment, implementation of corrective measuresand operation strategy, the implementation of the relevant events of the rectificationwork, put forward the requirements for the prevention of rejection and theprofessional500kV circuit breaker,35kV no power circuit breaker selection, circuitbreaker installed on-line monitoring device, the GIS on-line monitoring device andother risks control measures. Through the development of circuit breaker riskassessment work, various types of circuit breakers in2013to run500kV Yan allsubstation, jade city substation is good, safety indicators to meet the requirements.
