| Monastery garden is one of Chinese classical gardens’ three types. With the developmentof society, monastery garden both has the function of religious and public tours. Monasterygarden of Mount Tai is one of the important platform for the growth and development ofMount Tai cultural. In the spatial extent of Tai’ an City and the scenic area of Mount Tai, therehave been hundreds of monastery garden in history, and there is still dozens of existing andintegral monastery garden, for example, Dai temple, Divine Rock Temple, Memorial Templeof Lord Guan, Scarlet Door Palace, Doumu Palace, Azure Cloud Temple, Monastery ofOmnipresent Light, etc. As the main carrier of Mount Tai ’s religious culture, these monasterygarden play a pivotal role in the composition of the Mount Tai ’s landscape and the building ofMount Tai ’s landscape culture.As one of the important component elements of monastery garden landscape, althoughpavement don’t cause for concern as good as the buildings and plants, by using theperformance elements of pavement, such as material, color, conformation, scale, etc,monastery garden has an extremely important significance to the combination of road andsquare by different forms, running through the whole process of visitors, and creating theoverall image and atmosphere of Monastery space.Beginning with the concept of monastery garden and Pavement landscape, the treatiseanalyzed the types of Mount Tai ’s monastery garden, and systematic summarized theclassification and function of Mount Tai ’s monastery garden pavement. Taking Dai temple,Scarlet Door Palace and Doumu Palace for example, the treatise researched the overalllandscape features and the pavement landscape performance elements of various monasteries,by the field surveys of several typical monastery garden. Besides, the treatise analyzed eachperformance factors of Mount Tai ’s monastery garden pavement landscape, and summarizedthe pavement landscape features of Mount Tai ’s monastery garden pavement, by the fieldsurveys of the survey.Finally, combining several trends of Mount Tai ’s monastery garden pavement, thetreatise focused on the existing problems of Mount Tai ’s monastery garden pavement, andputted forward corresponding optimization recommendations for the existing problems ofMount Tai ’s monastery garden pavement. |
