With the development of electrical power system, more and more people payattention to the influence of reactive power on power grid. That reactive power ofpower grid reaches its balance under the nominal voltage has already been animportant symbol to measure the quality of electric energy and has a significantsense for power grid to fulfill a real time and rapid reactive compensation. SVG as anew, dynamic device is characterized by quick response, fine filtering, highlyaccurate control, active suppression of voltage fluctuation, etc. It is an importantmember of reactive compensation device.This dissertation makes a relatively elaborate summary of the development ofreactive compensation device and analyzes research status and development trend ofSVG on the basis of looking up lavish documents from home and abroad. In terms oftaking the strategy of current decoupling control and dq reactive current detectionmethod and the key parameter of main circuit can be determined by calculating.Three-phase SVG simulation model under the circumstance of Simplorer simulationis built up, the compensation performance of SVG under the circumstance ofinductive load, capacitive load and impulse load is simulated and the data of networkvoltage and current waveform before and after the simulation is collected andanalyzed. The simulation shows that SVG can work well to compensate reactivepower in the power grid on the occasion of inductive load, capacitive load, andimpulse load, and proves the correctness and feasibility of control strategy. On thebasis of theoretical knowledge and simulation study, the hardware circuit of currentdecoupling controlled three-phase SVG is designed. The experimental platform is setup and the results of the experiment are analyzed. The results show that applying thestrategies of dq reactive current detection method and current decoupling control toSVG can well compensate the reactive power created by the three-phase power grid. It further proves that three-phase SVG with current decoupling control is an effectivemethod to compensate reactive power of the grid and testifies the accuracy oftheoretical analysis and simulation results.
