Blasting demolition is a kind of construction work which use the method of blast to dismantle structure, it can also be called the controlled blasting of structure. In recent years, with its straightforward, efficient and economical characteristics, it plays an important role in the construction of modern city, and is also widely used in the demolition of towering building, frame structure and bridge engineering. However, in this context, its problem begin to emerge. The problem of which means that structure’s displacement, velocity, acceleration, internal force and deformation, etc change with time due to vibration. Compared with natural earthquake, the vibration effect is much weak, but as to the safety of buildings around and the realizability of blasting engineering, the measurement and control for blasting seismic is necessary. In addition, with the increase of structure complex and the construction difficulty, the simulation of blasting process is much more important, which can solve the possible problems in the blasting process in advance, grasp the whole process of blasting and improve blasting scheme. This paper summarizes the application of blasting construction and numerical simulation of blasting demolition in detail, meanwhile, based on the project of a viaduct’s blasting demolition, analyzes the vibration rule of basting vibration acceleration peak value, vibration duration, and peak frequency in the process of blasting. Combining with the measured curve, it is clearly that the effect of blasting vibration is not strong, of course, it has not been spared from the relationship of protective measures in the process of blasting at the scene. Because of the completeness of field data, the project also has a certain reference value for the design of blasting demolition of the viaduct in the future. On the side, this paper also simulates the blasting process of the viaduct through the finite element software Is-dyna, compares with the site photos, and finally reproduces the blasting process. It also illustrates the feasibility of this method.Through the field monitoring of a viaduct’s blasting demolition, and the analyze of three directions of the acceleration curve, the design of the blasting scheme is confirmed. Ls-dyna has been used to the blasting process simulation of structure many times, in this paper, it will be extended to the blasting of viaduct. Combining with numerical simulation and field measurement, this paper provides a more convenient and practical way for subsequent similar engineering simulation.
