The centrifugal pump is important equipment in the petrochemical industry, whose reliability directly affects the security and economical efficiency. With the increasing speed of rotary equipment and lager scale of power plant, the vibration problems of centrifugal pump is increasingly prominent. In the run-time of the centrifugal pump, the radial force generated by the flow field is one of the main reasons of the flow-induced vibration in centrifugal pump.By analyzing the inner flow field of centrifugal pump to explore the reason of flow-induced vibration, the vibration can be efficiently reduced or eliminated, which will improve the working environment, avoid the occurrence of mechanical failure and extend the life of equipment.In this paper, IS50-32-125centrifugal pump is studied. Preliminary research is conducted at the centrifugal pump vibration generated by the radial force.CFD software FLUENT13.0is used to analysis the internal flow field of centrifugal pump, by which obtained the static pressure and velocity distribution of volute and impeller passage. According to the steady flow field simulation results, the relationship between flow and radial force in centrifugal pump is calculated. Also, unsteady numerical simulation is conducted at pump flow of0.5Q, Q and1.2Q, obtains the periodic curve of radial force value changed with time. Structure modal and vibratory responses of centrifugal pump are analyzed using finite element software of ANSYS, by which, calculate the vibration displacement, velocity and acceleration of the stimulated rotor and get the characters of pump vibration.
