| Along with the increasing of funding for the laboratory construction and the growing of the laboratory personnel, the current laboratory management concept has already hampered seriously the development of lab toward the healthy and rapid tendency. So, it is necessary to introduce the advanced management concepts. The Fundamental Biology Experiment Center in NCU created in2004, is a laboratory project built by joint effectors of central and local authorities. Currently, it offers lab service for more than2,000students each year, its annual number of experimental hour reaches280,000, and it becomes an important base for undergraduate biological skills training and innovative experiment in the NUC. Meanwhile, the teachers in the center undertake many research projects. In recent three years, they have taken charge of52various research projects, some of which were transferred to the experiment teaching projects and benefited students directly. In order to develop laboratory better and faster, the introduction of the related theories in project management for the laboratory construction and operation will play an important role in the promotion of the laboratory development. In this thesis, the project management is developed to apply into the laboratory management, and these resulted researches are expected to provide a reference value for similar engineering.This paper main research results are as follows:(1) In the respect of the current construction scale of the laboratory, the expansion rate of laboratory personnel and the rapid development of information means, it is necessary to adopt advanced project management concepts in laboratory management for improving the operational efficiency of the laboratory.(2) The NCU Biology Experiment Center mainly faces these problems. They mainly include the obstacle of management system, the issues of laboratory construction schedule, human resources of laboratory and procurement cost, laboratory construction, procurement cost management issues and Biology experiment risk problem, hampering the development of the laboratory.(3) According to the project elements in laboratory, the problems about project management in the NCU Biology Experiment Center are analyzed, including the objective integrated management and risk control, the project management and schedule control, the human resource management and teaching quality control, the purchase management for equipment&supply and its cost control, and the risk management.(4) The NCU Biological Laboratory is a project cooperated by central and local governments. On the basis of its construction target, the project management model is constructed, including experimental center’s quality construction management, purchasing management, performance appraisal management and learning organization communication measure. |
