Based on the tests of two empty and solid-web steel high performance recycled concretecomposite beams, this paper calculated flexural capacity of the two structures, compared thebending process and the failure modes of empty and solid-web steel composite beams,analyzed the experimental data and studied the yield criterion and average strain of crosssection. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) The destruction process of high performance renewable fasting flexural steel concretecomposite beam which was reasonably configured in cross-section is similar to that of thesolid-web steel high performance recycled concrete composite beams;(2) Transverse splitting because of the compression of compression zone concrete forcomposite beam can be used as indicators of section yield;(3) Theoretical calculations of flexural capacity for ordinary steel reinforced concretecomposite beam can apply to empty steel high performance recycled concrete compositebeams;(4) Fasting steel can not only save the steel in some extent, but also improve the bendingperformance of the composite beam, it was because that the hole plate and concrete havebetter tensile effect, which can reduce the relative slip between steel and concrete.According to《Specification for Design of Steel-Reinforced Concrete Structure》and《Technical Specification for Steel Reinforced Concrete Composite Structures》which werepromulgated by our country on steel concrete composite structures, that the theoreticalcalculations of flexural capacity for ordinary steel reinforced concrete composite beam canapply to empty steel high performance recycled concrete composite beams was well proved.Compared with the calculated results and experimental data, it indicated that:(1) The resultdeviations calculated by the "simple superposition method" on steel rules are too large;(2)The calculation results which are based on the plane section assumption on steel rules arecomparable to the experimental values and have high precision.
