In response to the current inspection of automobile brake master cylinder body surface defect detection technology, inefficient detection, detection accuracy is not high, This article presents a program of non-contact measurement based on machine vision, This research project design a system called brake cylinder body internal surface flaw examination system, that is composed of five big subsystems, the CCD endoscopes imaging systems, the precision mechanical drive system, the stepper motor control systems, the photoelectric sensing measurement systems and the digital image processing system, covering optical, mechanical, electrical, numeracy and other disciplines. This research not only improves braking cylinder inner surface defect detection efficiency and precision, but also to achieve the correct position of defects.This paper first to test system environment and analysis of technical indicators, determining a system’s overall program and system components, then breakdown the system, describes the design principles and ideas of various subsystems, respectively, design each subsystem block, at last, analyses the system error, by error analysis, adjusts the system’s design to minimize system errors and improve detection accuracy.
