The off-axis three-mirror optical system has the characteristics of no chromatic aberration, large aperture, no obscuration. The optical system is collapsible easy to be lightweighted, and not sensitive to the changes of temperature and pressure, which the transmitting and catadioptric optical system can not be compared with. From the1990s to the present, the off-axis three-mirror optical system has been developing and improving rapidly. So off-axis three-mirror optical system are used in aviation and space observation system, especially in the new generation field of space optical remote sensing, As the demand for high resolution optical system increasing, off-axis three-mirror optical system research is essential.Through the study on the structural features and aberration characteristics of the off-axis three-mirror optical system, the use of freeform surface optical technology, freeform surface is used in the system. A broad width off-axis three-mirror optical system is designed with focal length of1000mm, F-number of7, field of view20°×10°,MTF is higher than0.485at501p/mm. This optical system is different from the previous pushbroom imaging model and realizes large frame imaging, so the choice of detector is more extensive. Comparing with other off-axis three-mirror optical systems, the main advantage is that this broad width off-axis three mirror optical system can obtain a wider imaging field of view, enhance the performance of remote sensor.
