Electromagnetic induction heating has been widely used, because of its en-vironmental protection, high efficiency, easy to control and so on, especially theplate type induction heating kitchen utensils have settled in thousands of house-holds. However, the plate type induction heating technology in industrial andcommercial is mostly used in some rough, constant temperature and constantpower heating device, and there exists temperature dead zone and the problemabout heating coil inductance variability. So, it is significant to study on the tem-perature balance of the plate type induction heating and improve its high reliabil-ity on phase-locked frequency tracking control technology.The plate type induction heating system consists of electromagnetic drivingpower supply and magnetic-thermal coupling. Firstly, this paper analyzes the ba-sic principle of electromagnetic field, induction heating technology and the tech-nology of electromagnetic measurement. Saber software completes the simula-tion of the main parameter circuit of the driving power source. The con-trollingstrategy of the phase-locked frequency tracking is studied and the double PWMand isolated driving circuit are analyzed. In addition, in this paper, a prototypewhose power is3.5kW is produced and the main inverter circuits and frequencytracking signals are tested, providing a highly reliable electromag-netic-drivingtechnology for the magnetic-thermal coupling research.Secondly, the study of magnetic-thermal coupling part of this paper ana-lyzes the parameters which influence the magnetic-thermal coupling, inclu-dingthe topology of the coil, the wire diameter of the coil and the height of the in-duced artifacts, driving frequency, inductance, plate conductor, etc. Simul-taneously, this paper makes an analysis of the temperature field and eddy currentfield of the topology of different coil and make use of infrared thermal imagingtechnology verifies the correctness of the induction coil mapping theory. What’smore, it puts forward the fact that pancake coil induction heating device has un- balanced temperature and adopt the measurement technology of the static mag-netic coupling to map the distribution of the pancake coil induced magnetic field,demonstrating the unbalance of its temperature.Finally, the paper brings up the solutions to the temperature balance of plateinduction heating. Therefore, it provides practical value for the plate type elec-tromagnetic induction heating field. This also provides basic theoretical analysisand reference for the plate type electromagnetic induction heating device firstapplied in the field of SMD industry.
