Nowadays, a considerable part of industry use the flexible packaging bags for packagingproducts, such as cement, rice, asphalt and so on, and the production line also inevitably involvedata measurement, like the product number of bags. Then automatic measurement technology andprecise measurement technology is a technological challenge for these production lines. Gradually,with the expansion of the industries, the soft pack metering industry is also gradually gettingpeople’s attention. Therefore, the research of intelligent soft packages counting system is verynecessary and meaningful. And at the same time, electronics, communications, computer software,sensors, databases and other technologies also have a large degree of development, and they alsohave wide applications in various industries. In this context, I blend of these technologies used insoft packages counting to study the intelligent systems.The system includes counter, remote monitoring and PC software. In the whole system, I try tofind a new way of counting, by detecting the displacement as the core of the counting systemthrough photoelectric sensors. Meanwhile, for the severe case of the count-site environment, I usethe remote monitoring system to monitor the counting site, which makes the whole counting systemmore humane.At last I use the PC software which has the ACCESS database to manage an entirecounter data collection for storing measurement data for subsequent queries and management.This paper aims to find a new way of soft package counting by using photoelectric sensors todetect displacement and verifies it under laboratory conditions on the basis of previous reaearch.Then, I achieve a set of remote monitoring system based on ARM and linux system via describingthe hardware platform and software platform. Finally, I design a simple PC software system to storeand manage the collected data and on-site condition by combining database technology.
