Solar thermal generators are generally installed outside under harsh environment,and sometimes encounter bad weather such as strong breeze. The main reason ofmultiple solar energy generators’ collapse incidents in recent years was due toinsufficient intensity of its material. How to detect the reliability of wind load dishsolar thermal generators to guarantee its normal function is the first problem to besolved.This paper was based on school-enterprise cooperation projects. Fluid-solidcoupling method, numerical simulation method, strength theory, engineeringmechanics theory and some other methods were combined to detect megawatt dishsolar thermal generator’s condenser wind load distribution characteristics, structurestress and strain status, and mode shapes. The main content and innovation of thispaper are as follows:(1) The computational model of dish solar power condenser’s flow field,revealing the pressure distribution of wind load on the surface of condenser, wasinstalled by Star ccm+of CFD software. Based on the software interface of FEA andCFD, fluid-solid coupling method was used to realize the seamless integration of flowfield data and the solid field data and provide boundary conditions for the reliabilityanalysis and calculation of dish solar thermal generator.(2) Finite element strength analysis model of dish solar thermal generator wasestablished and the static strength of the dish solar thermal generator under differentelevation and azimuth angle was analyzed by Abaqus. Stress concentration area ofdish solar thermal generator was acquired and strength check of this area wasconducted with strength theory.(3)Related modal calculation of dish solar thermal generator was analyzed bythe modal analysis module of Abaqus and modal data and modal cloud of dish solarthermal generator were gained to authenticate its security.
