Recently, the compact distribution, intensive construction and rapid urbanization have made the constitution of our country complicated. Under the rigorous situation, the urban rail transit has become the key point of solving the urban congestion. With the integrated development of economy and the continuous innovation of technology, after years of reform and innovation, it has derived from a variety of new intelligent way of urban rail transit.Central guiding rubber tire LRV refers to the new urban light rail vehicles using "central monorail guiding+rubber tire bogie". Its features include using unique monorail central guidance technologies to promote the curve passing performance of vehicles; using rubber tire to bear and drive to improve the riding quality of vehicle; using special track construction which makes minimum damage to the original building environment to achieve the public traffic optimization; using articulation and modularization design to realize flexible vehicle assembling and adapt to the complex route environment. Central guiding rubber tire LRV, as one of the optional patterns on urban rail transit of China, is especially suitable for middle transportation capacity axis of the cities, and can connect with subway or other public transportation on the operating time and route planning, which can further improve the intension and integration of public transport system. Based on the research of the rubber tire LRV, gradually improve the construction and promotion of rubber tire LRV system and enhance the diversity and integrity of urban rail transit in our country.Central guiding rubber tire LRV belongs to new tramcar which can only rely on import at present. And the related resources and data of central guiding rubber tire LRV are lacking inland. The study of the vehicle dynamics is relatively new topic. Taking "Translohr" which is manufactured by French Lohr Industrie S.A. as research object, its vehicle dynamic performance which is about the tire characteristics research, guidance mechanism analysis, suspension parameters optimization is researched and explored.First of all, the classification and present development situation at home and abroad of the Rubber Tire LRV are introduced in detail. And the development and application of the central guiding rubber tire LRV in our country are prospected; Then the characteristics of the bogie and guiding mechanism are introduced. According to the Magic Formula, the tire dynamics calculation model is established in Matlab/Simulink software. Depending on the calculation results in different working conditions of the model analysis, the mechanical properties of tire are achieved, which lay the foundation of the impact analysis of the tire parameters on the dynamic performance of the vehicles. What’s more, based on the analysis and study of the central guiding mechanism, the power bogie and non-power bogie motion equation are deduced. According to the description and force analysis of the dynamic model of the central guiding rubber tire LRV, the motion equations of different components are set up. At last, The central guiding Rubber Tire LRV model is established in Simpack software. After the optimization of the suspension parameters, the vehicle dynamic performance is forecasted.In this paper, the basic vehicle structure, tire properties, guiding mechanism and vehicle dynamics of the central guiding rubber tire LRV are calculated. And the optimization of vehicle suspension and vehicle dynamics performance prediction are researched. The beneficial reference to the application of new urban light rail transit in our country is provided.
