Railway transport has played a pivotal role in promoting national economic development with its large capacity, less energy consumption, high speed, low cost and so on Built the world’s first railway, Railway transportation has been praised by most nations, and the manpower, financial and material resources are put into constantly to promote the development of domestic railway transportation business.With the constant improvement of the vehicle running speed, dynamic environment deterioration, the performance of the vehicle has been worsened in a different degree, the lateral movement stability is one of the most important problem. It involves the determination of the critical speed vehicle. Sinusoidal movement as the most common phenomenon in high-speed trains is typical of the lateral movement stability problem. When the vehicle speed is greater than the critical speed of the vehicle, the sinusoidal movement occurred. Severe crawling between wheel/rail interaction will produce wheel/rail abrasion wear, even cause derailment accidents.How to determine and improve the critical speed of the vehicle, the domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of research.Many factors that affect the critical speed of vehicle systems, such as the vehicle structure, track structure, wheel/rail contact state, etc. But a specific parameters how to affect the critical velocity how to determine and improve the critical speed of the vehicle, the domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of research.Many factors that affect the critical speed of vehicle systems, such as the vehicle structure, track structure, wheel/rail contact state, etc. But a specific parameters how to affect the critical velocity is little research of the system is little research.Because of the spin creep between the wheel/rail, there is a gyro antisymmetric matrix in the motion equation of the system, the gyroscopic forces how to influence the system stability is also rare.So based on the various theory of stability, establishing vehicle bogie motion equation has been established. Starting from the bogie structure, the root causes which influence the stability of bogie and gyroscopic force influence on the stability of the bogie will be researched. The main work includes:(1) The related theories about the domestic stability study have been analyzed. The stability theories applying on the vehicle system have been summarized, and the fundamental understanding of research on vehicle system movement stability is formed.(2) The multi-parameter mechanics system and their characteristics have been introduced. The complete mechanical system has been analyzed. It expounds the modeling method and the basic principle of complete mechanical system. The component part of the equation has been understood. The two complete mechanical system stability criterion have been introduced. Based on gyro item in the system, the gyroscopic force stability related theory has been deduced and the system stability coefficient and the contribution rate of gyroscopic force have been defined.(3) The Newton-Euler method is adopted to deduce the lateral motion equation of the bogie. Then written in the standard form of the integrated mechanical system.The critical speed formula is derived based on the Seyranian’s extreme inequality criterion, it proves that Seyranian’s extreme inequality criterion has practical value in engineering.(4) The influence factor and degree about the critical speed of the bogie have been analyzed and how do the parameters influence the contribution rate of gyro force. How does the gyroscopic force influence the system’s stability has been analyzed using Seyranian’s extreme inequality criterion.(5) The sinusoidal vibration damper is analyzed based on Maxwell model, and there is a in-depth understanding of how sinusoidal node rigidity and damping effect the critical speed of the system. The working principle of the damper has been analyzed.(6) According to the standard equation for complete mechanical system, analyzing the input and output of the energy, the bogie lateral self-excited vibration mechanism of the bogie was summarized.
