Research On Inner Space Plot Construction And Expression Of The Narrative Points In The Revolutionary Memorial Museum

With the growth of economy, advancement of technology, richness of social practice, and extension of life, the inner space of Revolutionary Memorial Museum, which a kind of monumental architecture, changes from "thing-centered" to "people-centered", from formal functional design to sensory experiences, and so on. These changes manifest that the inner space of the Revolutionary Memorial Museum needs a brand new design. Meanwhile, the red tourism is developing really fast these years and it brings opportunities and challenges to the development of the Revolutionary Memorial Museum. It is very important to reassess the construction of the inner space, deduct a new theory to guide the design, and create a shocking and resonating space scene. Aiming at this condition, this paper does a survey on some Revolutionary Memorial Museums of different level and scales in Sichuan province. By adopting the research methods of theoretical analysis and field research, this paper discusses the construction of the inner space of the Revolutionary Memorial Museum based on the guidance of narratological theory.There are six chapters in this paper. Chapter one is about the introduction. It simply overviews the relevant content and background of the Revolutionary Memorial Museum, reviews the development history of the Revolutionary Memorial Museum, generalizes the researches on narratological theory, and states the significance of this research. The second chapter introduced the theories. Narratological theory, and space plot is further explained. The inner relation between narratology and space plot is summarized. Meanwhile, this paper makes an exploration and combines narratology with the design of Revolutionary Memorial Museum, analyzing the inner relevance. Chapter three describes the research. By doing field research in some Revolutionary Memorial Museums in Sichuan, this paper clarifies the advantages and shortcomings of the inner space design of the Revolutionary Memorial Museums based on the collected data. It provides practical basis for narratology to guidance space plot. Chapter four is a conclusive chapter. Based on the previous three chapter and the data collected, the construction elements of space plot of various narrative points in the Revolutionary Memorial Museum are summarized. Chapter five is a creative chapter and the core chapter as well. With the analyses done above, specific construction of the inner space plot of the different points in the Revolutionary Memorial Museum is deducted. Conclusion is arranged in chapter six. This chapter presents the work and the author’s feelings arranging the thesis.
