The application of the co-phase traction power supply technology can meet the requirement of power supply system and railway departments. Compare to traditional traction supply system, the co-phase traction power supply system have great advantages in terms of technical and economic. It provides a theoretical basis for the realization of the high-speed and heavy-loading track, and has a very important significance in research. Therefore, evaluating the economy of the co-phase power supply system have more practical significance to promote the industrialization.First of all, this paper assumed that the load was certain, and without considered the specific connection form of traction transformer connection form. Then according to the primary structure differences of co-phase power balance transformation device, we respectively discussed the balanced transformation principle of four schemes which was balance transformer connected back-to-back structure, non-equilibrium transformer connected back-to-back structure, balance transformer connected three bridge arm structure and non-equilibrium transformer connected three bridge arm structure. It was derived the general expressions of compensation current and the port complex power in four cases. And then, the paper discussed optimal allocation of power flow controller capacity of the co-phase power supply system.Secondly, regarding the actual situation of Shuohuang Railway as the research object, the paper calculated the project investment costing of the co-phase power supply system. Then, the paper accounted the direct and indirect economic gains from arising the transport capacity, respectively. Finally, this article studied engineering economy in co-phase traction supply system from the project financial analysis and economic analysis of the project, then discussed the co-phase traction supply system with superior integrated technology economy.
