The environmental problems led by the current global warming are more and more serious. Carbon dioxide emissions also get more and more attention. Because a third of global carbon emissions are associated with the construction industry, the quantitative calculating of the carbon emissions is of great significance.Based on the industrial engineering methodology, this essay used the method of life cycle assessment (LCA) to sum up and screening the carbon emission factors of energy and main building materials, and established the mathematical calculation model of the whole life cycle of a typical residential building’s carbon emissions. By getting10typical residential buildings’case measurement of Cheng Du, it quantities specific carbon emissions in the life cycle. At the same time a systematical research of the performance of one of the house was carried on based on BIM model, and with the help of the measurement data it analyzed the carbon emissions characteristics of different stages in detail, which offered a specific measure for energy conservation and emissions reduction. This article divides the life cycle to the building materials production stage, construction stage, operation stage of maintenance, dismantling and recycling stage. It also listed the residential building carbon emissions measurement data. Results show that in the whole life cycle of carbon emissions, unit building area is1.957t/m2, including building materials production of0.466t/m3construction of0.032t/m, running maintenance of1.757t/m2, dismantle disposal of0.015t/m2. It revealed that recovery stage can reduce the carbon emissions of building materials production stage of0.313t/m2. Carbon emissions of run maintenance stage at up to89.80%. That’s why keeping reasonable control during the use of construction has an obvious effect of carbon emissions energy conservation and emissions reduction.
